Following his meeting with His Excellency the President of the Republic, Minister of State for Administrative Reform, Dr. Fadi Makki, affirmed that the meeting provided an opportunity to present the progress achieved by the Ministry, particularly the launch of the Dawlati platform, alongside a package of reform initiatives under the Reinventing Government 2030 program.
Minister Makki explained that discussions also addressed the proposed US$150 million World Bank loan, currently before Parliament, which is intended to support Lebanon’s digital transformation. He stressed that the project represents a key driver for accelerating the digitalization of public services, improving their quality, and enhancing efficiency, transparency, and accountability across the public administration.
The Minister also briefed His Excellency the President on the outcomes of his recent field visits to southern Lebanon, conducted alongside several ambassadors. He emphasized that these visits reaffirm the state’s presence alongside its citizens, provide an opportunity to assess local needs firsthand, and support ongoing recovery efforts.
Dr. Makki further noted that these visits help convey an accurate picture to the international community and the wider public regarding the scale of the damage and underscore the importance of continued support for Lebanon’s efforts toward liberation, reconstruction, and the safe return of displaced residents.
