The Office of the Minister of State for Administrative Reform (OMSAR) organized an Open House to introduce the Matchmaking Portal at the Ministry’s Behavioral Insights and Digital Transformation Lab (Bind-Leb), in the presence of Minister of State for Administrative Reform Dr. Fadi Makki, with the participation of students from a wide range of universities, alongside faculty members, specialists, and experts.
The event aimed to introduce the platform and explore opportunities for collaboration between universities and public institutions by connecting public sector needs with the skills and expertise of students, graduates, academics, professionals, and experts in Lebanon and abroad, enabling them to contribute to real projects that support the development of public administration and public services.
To date, the platform has registered more than 666 users, published 145 opportunities, received 491 applications, and recorded 53 matches, with the participation of 26 public sector entities.
Available opportunities cover digital transformation, engineering, data, communications, legal work, research, process improvement, and archiving, according to the needs of each institution.
Minister Makki said: “The objective is not only to open new opportunities for collaboration, but to create a practical mechanism that enables the public administration to benefit from the skills and expertise available in Lebanon and abroad, and connect them with actual needs within public institutions.”
The Open House gave participants the opportunity to explore the platform, provide feedback, and discuss ways to expand collaboration, while highlighting the role of universities as key partners through their students, faculty members, researchers, graduates, career offices, and student clubs.
The event also addressed the platform’s “Challenges” feature, which allows public institutions to present specific problems and invite individuals with relevant skills and expertise to propose ideas and develop solutions in collaboration with them.
The platform is part of OMSAR’s efforts to broaden the pool of expertise available to the public administration and establish practical channels between public institutions, universities, and professionals, supporting capacity building, addressing institutional challenges, and improving public services.
