Minister of State for Administrative Reform, Dr. Fadi Makki, received at his office at the Ministry today, August 12, 2026, Mr. Enrique Blanco, Head of the World Bank Group Office in Lebanon. Discussions focused on the latest developments in cooperation between the Ministry and the World Bank Group, particularly following the signing earlier this week of the $150 million loan agreement to finance the Lebanon Digital Acceleration Project (LDAP).
The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the next steps for the project, which will be implemented and coordinated by the Ministry of Administrative Reform in cooperation with the relevant administrations and institutions paving the way for the transition into the implementation phase following its referral to the Lebanese Parliament for approval.
The discussion also underscored the importance of the project in advancing comprehensive digital transformation across Lebanon’s public administration through the development of digital and cloud infrastructure, strengthening cybersecurity, modernizing legal and regulatory frameworks, developing government digital platforms, and digitizing priority public services. The project will contribute to simplifying procedures, improving the efficiency and transparency of public administration, and facilitating citizens’ access to government services.
