As part of the HEI Certificate program at the American University of Beirut (AUB), which focuses on critical thinking and problem-solving in humanitarian contexts, the Office of the Minister of State for Administrative Reform (OMSAR) held a meeting with a group of students from the program to discuss public sector reform and innovation.
During the meeting, OMSAR presented students with a practical public sector challenge to work on through an applied learning experience during their winter session. The discussion gave students from diverse academic disciplines the opportunity to understand the context of the challenge, ask questions, and explore possible approaches and solutions informed by their different backgrounds and perspectives.
In the next phase, students will develop a prototype in response to this challenge and subsequently present it to OMSAR.
OMSAR looks forward to seeing how the students’ ideas develop and to continuing this dialogue and collaboration between academia and the public sector.
