Minister of State for Administrative Reform Dr. Fadi Makki received Dalia Khalifa, the World Bank’s newly appointed Regional Director for the Middle East, at the Ministry’s headquarters on her first visit to the Ministry. She was accompanied by Enrique Blanco Armas, the World Bank’s Country Manager for Lebanon.
The meeting explored ways to strengthen cooperation between the Ministry and the World Bank, particularly in civic technology (Civic Tech) and digital initiatives under the Digital Transformation Project, to improve public services and strengthen citizen engagement with public administration.
Discussions also covered next steps and joint initiatives to support digital transformation and modernize public administration in Lebanon.
