The Minister of State for Administrative Reform, Doctor May Chidiac, met with a delegation from the National Commission for Lebanese Women led by Ms. Claudine Aoun Roukoz.
The Minister of State for Administrative Reform, Doctor May Chidiac, met with a delegation from the National Commission for Lebanese Women led by Ms. Claudine Aoun Roukoz. The meeting focused on the draft national action plan for the implementation of the Security Council resolution 1325 on women, peace and security. The meeting addressed as well the law to prevent child marriage as well as the law that gives Lebanese women the right to pass on their nationality to their children when married to a foreigner. Both sides also discussed the National Commission’s work on to modifying other laws, proposing them and lift the subsequent injustice the Lebanese women are subject to.
