Within the framework of the Sectoral and Organizational Performance Measurement and Inspection Program (SOPMIP) in the office of the Minister of State for Administrative Reform, and through the work started with the Central Inspection, the SOPMIP team held several online meetings recently with the Central Inspection team. These meetings were concluded on Friday 9/4/2021, during which OMSAR team discussed the work on the organizational and institutional performance with President Judge Attieh, and got his feedback.
OMSAR has prepared recently Generic Organizational Key Performance Indicators for the organizational and institutional sector, which include all Lebanese public administrations subject to the control of the Central Inspection. These indicators will be adopted as a basis for performance monitoring, to all these public administrations to report upon, by the end of this year.
Worth considering that the Sectoral and Organizational Performance Measurement and Inspection Program is a program managed by OMSAR, which aims to supports the Central Inspection in its control function, for measuring and evaluating the performance of the public sector. It uses a modern, scientific and objective methodology, which works on pinpointing performance deficiencies, and works to overcome it to improve public sector performance. In the first phase of implementation, the project included six ministries and sectoral directorates, and four additional ministries were added in the second rollout phase.
